In today’s information age, networks have become an indispensable part of our daily lives and work. For enterprises, an efficient, stable, and secure wireless network is a key factor in keeping work moving forward and enabling efficient office operations. Slow wireless networks, network lag, dropped connections, and poor signal coverage also frequently trouble enterprises and undermine productivity. In response, Siwenlide offers detailed customized solutions, developing wireless coverage concepts and plans based on actual conditions to help enterprises resolve their wireless network coverage problems.
1. Preliminary Design and Site Survey
Wireless network planning and design is a relatively complex systems engineering task that requires a complete process: gathering requirements and objectives with the client, conducting on-site surveys, selecting equipment models, and designing coverage range through to capacity.
During the actual survey, it is essential to understand key information such as the enterprise’s specific floor area, the building’s environmental structure, and the approximate wall materials (thickness and specific materials used), and to grasp the degree to which these factors attenuate and reduce wireless signals. This provides strong support for the subsequent successful deployment of a stable, high-speed wireless network.
2. Equipment Selection
When deploying a wireless network, equipment models are configured according to the building conditions identified in the earlier survey and the actual network usage requirements.
For example, in office buildings with thicker walls, the penetration capability and stability of the wireless equipment must be fully taken into account. During installation, mounting positions should also be designed sensibly; based on accurate building information, the appropriate AP model should be selected to ensure comprehensive coverage and stable transmission, while avoiding obstructions to wireless equipment that would weaken signal penetration.
3. VLAN Segmentation:
In high-concurrency areas, wireless network allocation must be managed sensibly. For example, if the HR, Finance, and Design departments are located in the same area, with concentrated staff and concentrated network usage, multiple VLANs should be segmented. Those with high network demands can be allocated more bandwidth, while those with lower demands can be allocated less. The main purpose of this allocation is to support high-demand operations while also ensuring that networks serving lower usage demands continue to function normally.
To better meet the above requirements, it is important to communicate extensively with the client during the preliminary on-site survey and to segment the network sensibly according to needs and actual conditions. Wireless network equipment should be installed in a reasonable and standardized manner to provide enterprises with a more efficient and stable network.
